Become a member of the YAC!

Are you 8 – 16years old?
Do you love the past?

If so, join the Young Archaeologists’ Club and get hands-on with archaeology. At your local YAC you can take part in funactivities, including visits to historical sites and going on digs. Southwell YAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. YAC clubs get involved in all sorts of activities, including visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places, trying out traditional crafts, taking part in excavations, and lots more.

Southwell YAC is based at The Old Courthouse in Southwell and usually meets once a month. A team of volunteers runs the club: if you want to know more about how we recruit YAC volunteers and make sure children at YAC clubs are well looked after, check out our FAQs.
