Traditional real ale pub.

A warm welcome awaits, continually changing selection of real ales, 5 traditional ciders a selection of lagers and a guest craft lager and an extensive Gin bar. A variety of bar snacks are available including a variety of pork pies, cheese boards, cobs and meat pies which are available throughout the day.

At the weekends we have our 2nd bar ‘Locomotion’ open from 5pm-10.30 Fridays and Saturdays and 3pm-9pm on Sundays. On offer are 4 more real ales, a traditi0nal cider, a another guest craft and a lager along with a large selection of gins from our Gin bar. The ‘Locomotion’ is available for hire for functions.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome in all areas of the pub. Children are also very welcome, however, they do need to be off the premise by 9pm.

We are Newark and Sherwood CAMRA pub of the year 2015, 2017 and 2018 and are the sister pub to The Crown, Beeston, East Midlands CAMRA 2010 pub of the year.
