A small community drama group, the Club aims to present at least two main season productions a year, including plays of all types, poetry and dramatic readings. It has a close relationship with Southwell Library, where most performances take place. They also like to get involved with community events, such as Southwell Fun Day on the Burgage, and are well known locally for their murder mysteries in which the audience become detective. Southwell Theatre Club’s patron is Southwell born actor, playwright and screenwriter Billy Ivory.
New members are always welcome, experienced or not. Whether you want to act, direct, help out backstage or front of house, they would love to hear from you – although, unfortunately, there isn’t a junior section.
