For more than 900 years, Southwell Minster has opened its doors every day to welcome visitors, pilgrims and worshippers. It has placed hospitality in the name of Jesus Christ as being at the heart of what it wants to offer the 100,000, or so, people, who come each year. As well as being a beautiful and fascinating historic building, Southwell Minster is a community of clergy, other workers and many worshippers, contributing to the public life and private lives of the town and the whole diocese.
Southwell Minster is open every day of the year, from 8.00am to 7.00pm in summertime (March-October DST); and in wintertime until 6.30pm/dusk from when the clocks are altered. From 26th December to 1st January, the Minster closes at the earlier time of 5.00pm.
The Minster Office is open between 10:00am and 1:00pm, Monday to Friday.
